a bit more info about me and colliding my two passions of creating art and golf
By trade, I'm a certified metal fabricator specializing in stainless steel fabrication for roughly a decade. However, my passion lies in golf. As a former college golfer, I've always sought the best clubs for optimal performance. While relying on top-of-the-line-off-the-rack putters, putting remained my weak point. Despite having what I thought was the best, I couldn't connect with the appearance of the putter at address.
One day, as I explored boutique putter makers online, it struck me - “why not make my own putter?” With my expertise in how stainless steel moves, reacts, bends, warps, and polishes, I decided to give it a try. I embarked on crafting my first model, meticulously welding and grinding until achieving the desired shape.
The essence of creating something with my hands is what I strive to uphold. Unlike mass-produced boutique putters, I noticed they all seem alike, lacking the personal touch of handmade craftsmanship. My approach involves no computer programs; I create art that you can play with. Each putter is unique, defying replication. They are truly handmade!
The initial model ignited my passion for crafting putters. I refined details and subtleties, shaping what, to me, defines a great club. Word of mouth started spreading in my local area, and soon, I found myself selling these unique putters locally in the Vancouver area.
